Moodboard

A moodboard is  a visual collage that helps set the tone for a project. It’s made up of images, colors, fonts, textures, and sometimes even little animations that capture the overall vibe you're going for. As a motion designer, it’s super handy to use a moodboard to align with clients or your team early on, making sure everyone’s on the same page before diving into production. Think of it as the blueprint for the creative "mood" of your video or animation!

Storyboard

A storyboard is like a visual script for your project. It’s a series of sketches or frames that show the sequence of shots, actions, or scenes in your animation or video. It helps you plan out the flow, timing, and transitions so you can see how everything fits together before starting production.

Animatic

An animatic is like a rough sketch of a cartoon or movie, kind of like a storyboard with moving pictures. It helps the people who make the video plan out what happens in each scene and how the characters move and talk. It's like a map for the story before the final version is made!

Styleframes

Stylefames

Styleframes are like snapshots of what your final animation or video will look like. They’re fully designed still images that show the visual style, colors, and overall vibe you’re going for, but without any movement yet. As a motion designer, you use styleframes to give the client or team a clear idea of the finished product before committing to animating everything. It’s a great way to nail down the look and make sure everyone’s happy with the style before the real work starts!
